Clun
An attractive village in Shropshire, a few minustes drive from the Barn. The village has tea rooms and shops selling antiques and local goods. This is an enjoyable walk along the Shropshire Way, from the Barn of about 45 minutes.

Mid Wales is a short drive from the barn and within 20minutes you enter Mid Wales. It's an area of amazingly varied scenery, interspersed by small towns and villages, many still unscathed by progress: not behind the times, just not too bothered about the rat race!

Bridgnorth
Bridgnorth was once described by King Charles I as the 'finest view in all my kingdom' is well worth a visit to its castle or simply to ponder its outstanding views and soak up the history and is within an hour of the barn.

A lovely town about an hour away from the Barn withs its beautiful cathedral and world famous 'Mappa Mundi'.

Ironbridge
Ironbridge designated a World Heritage Site is the homw of the industrial revoultion with 10 Ironbridge Museums. Once described as "the most extraordinary district in the world", today the Gorge is home to 10 amazing museums that pay tribute to what happened in this great valley almost 300 years ago. This area is complemented by many restaurants and shops all nestled around the world famous Iron Bridge.

Carding Mill Valley & the Shropshire Hills
Covering as much as 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) of heather-covered hills with stunning views of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Welsh hills. An important place for wildlife, geology, landscape and archaeology, with excellent visitor facilities and information in Carding Mill Valley
